  GRAMMAR: Perfect modals. Perfect modals are used to make comments related to the past. They are formed using a modal verb followed by the auxiliary 'have' and the participle of the verb of the phrase. Subject + Modal + have + Participle + complement.

  GRAMMAR:  Was / Were going to and would. It is a form used to tell a plan or forecast for the future that you had in the past. And it is done with was/were going to + infinitive . This is the past tense of am/is/are going to , which talks about the future plans we have now. Examples. He was going to the dance, but he stayed working until night. My family was going on a trip to San Andres, the trip was not made because my younger sister got sick. Maria believed she would live in Medellin because of her husband's job. Andres thought about living in Santa Marta for university. Ana thought she would go to her grade, but that day she was sick. I was going to call you but my phone was out of battery. We saw that it was going to rain and we didn't go out to the park.
